S. Norris and W.T. Clement contract musket. Made in Springfield, Mass. Lock marking of eagle motif/ US and S.N. & W.T.C./ FOR / MASSACHUETTS, to right of hammer. Rear of lock marked 1864. Production was on direct contract with the State of Massachusetts. V P with eagle head mark on breech. U mark on all three barrel bands. US mark on top of butt plate.

Very nice Civil War revolver! .36 caliber Metropolitan Arms Company Police Model. Only 1600 marked specimens. All matching serial numbers. Nice smooth action in all positions. Super nice original walnut grips. Cylinder retains most of the original bluing and a considerable amount of silver plate on trigger guard.
